Gutenprint (formerly Gimp-Print) is a collection of printer drivers for Unix/Linux that currently supports over 1400 printers. It emphasizes quality and flexibility, offering a wide variety of options to meet most printing needs. It includes a CUPS driver, an IJS-based Ghostscript driver, Foomatic data, an enhanced Print plugin for The GIMP, and other printer maintenance utilities. It can be used equally well for fast printing of text or critical printing of high quality graphics and photographs.

  Release Notes: This release features an extensive rewrite of the Canon driver
  with  support for many newer printers and updates for many existing printers.
  Support for some printers determined to be non-functional in earlier releases
  has been dropped. Support for some Epson printers has been added, and some
  bugs have been fixed.

Ho testato il tuo programma su wary 5.3 e purtroppo le mie prove non sono andate a buon fine. Io ho una HP PhotoSmart C3190. Il tuo programma si e' installato ma non ha il driver per la mia stampante. Ne ho provato uno base (PhotoSmart 7150) e ha stampato la pagina di prova ma la spia della stampante resta poi lampeggiante ed e' evidente che il driver non e' quello corretto. Pero' il tuo programma risolve un grosso problema di wary: su molti programmi in wary la stampa diretta su stampante non funziona, bisogna prima stampare su PDF e poi stampare da Adobe o Epdfview. Invece con la tua installazione la stampante 7150 era visibile in ogni programma. Ho provato poi ad installare i drivers hp da repository ma l'installazione e' andata in loop e ho dovuto killare. Ho dovuto lasciar perdere.
